Shot suffers from camera shake. Shutter speed is too slow for the focal length used. As this is a night time shot, the only solution, if handheld, is to increase the ISO. If a tripod or a stable surface is available, then using those to keep the camera stable will help. Firing the shot using a cable release or the self-timer will also help. |

About This Course
There can be no doubt that the best way to learn photography is to get quality feedback on your images. We feel this is so important that we have this as a feature on ALL of our courses.
But what if you are not ready to take a class yet? Or what if you miss the critiques you got while taking one of our courses? That is where our Live Web Free Photo Critique class comes in.
FREE PHOTO CRITIQUES
This free Critique Class allows you to send in up to 3 photos, which will be gently critiqued by one of our tutors. They will offer friendly advice that will help improve your photography. If you want feedback and expert advice, this is a great place to start.
Benefits of a Good Critique:
Good critiques are the best way for photographers to start understanding the fundamentals of photography. When carried out sensitively, high-quality feedback also helps the confidence of the photographer.
Also, when done in a group setting such as ours, everyone benefits from the critiques, even if they have never taken photos similar to the one currently being critiqued.
FIND OUT WHAT WENT WRONG
The Critique Class is a learning zone, so we are hoping you will send in images that need help technically or creatively. To help 'reverse engineer' the photos, please make sure the Exif data is embedded in the picture. We will need details of the camera settings, including the focal length the shot was taken at), to be able to offer better advice.
Learn how to learn from the mistakes
In these free classes, we concentrate on three key fundamentals: finding out what went wrong, finding out why it went wrong, and discussing how it can be fixed in the future.

Use of a Rule of Thirds Grid can significantly help improve any composition. The critical thing is to place the important things at or near one of the lines of thirds. Even better, placing these elements at an intersection of a vertical and horizontal line can kick almost any photo right out of the park. |
